Come learn a confessional Lutheran approach to replant or revitalize dying or shrinking LCMS churches. Pastor Meyers is a confessional LCMS pastor currently revitalizing two congregations in Mississippi. We’ll discuss the theology of replanting and revitalization strategies and tactics. We’ll also talk about characteristics of a revitalizing pastor and congregation along with plenty of time for Q and A. Cost is $15 with lunch provided.
Church Revitalization Seminar
The Rev. Sawyer Meyers is a 2016 graduate of Concordia University Chicago where he received a B.A. in Philosophy. In May of 2020, Pastor Meyers received his Masters of Divinity from Concordia Theological Seminary and accepted the call to serve as Missionary-at-Large for the Mid-South District of the LCMS. Since then, Pastor Meyers has been called to serve Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church in Olive Branch, Mississippi as full time pastor and Peace Lutheran Church in Oxford, Mississippi as vacancy pastor and vicarage supervisor. In his free time, Pastor Meyers enjoys reading, working with his hands, training jiu-jitsu, and spending time with family. Pastor Meyers and his wife Rebecca are blessed with five children.
